My Experience Northwell account setup starts with the instructions issued for your employment. If those instructions have not arrived, first establish whether the account has been provisioned. Password recovery cannot resolve an account that has not yet been issued.
Northwell’s employee information page identifies a Universal ID and password for employee access. It advises employees missing the expected message to check spam, speak with their manager or contact the Service Desk.
Use that employer-published starting point rather than a username or default-password formula copied from an unrelated website.
Separate missing instructions from a failed sign-in
Before contacting anyone, choose the description that matches your situation.
| What happened | What needs clarification |
|---|---|
| No account message arrived | Whether instructions were issued and where they were sent |
| A message arrived, but you cannot complete setup | Which setup step fails |
| Credentials are rejected | The correct account route and the exact error |
| Sign-in works, but an assigned task is absent | Whether the task or permission has been assigned |
| A link opens a page for another purpose | Which employer-published route applies |
This distinction prevents an access request from becoming a series of unrelated password attempts.
If you are still preboarding, include that fact. The person assisting you needs to know whether you are awaiting your initial account or troubleshooting an account you have already used.
Check the message without trusting appearance alone
Look for the instructions you were told to expect, including the subject and timing described by your verified contact. Check the destination email address and your spam folder.
An unexpected request should be verified through a contact you already trust. A familiar display name, logo or urgent tone does not establish that a message belongs to your hiring process.
You can describe the message to your onboarding contact without forwarding credentials. If a support representative needs an error screenshot, remove secrets and unrelated personal information first.
Use a supported browser through the official route
Northwell’s published browser notice identifies Internet Explorer 11 as incompatible with myExperience and recommends Edge or Chrome.
The notice contains older operating-system references. Use the browser compatibility information without interpreting it as a recommendation to run an outdated operating system.
As a general troubleshooting step, reopen the official link in a current employer-approved browser. If you began inside an email app’s embedded browser, opening the destination in the approved browser can help isolate a display problem.
Do not install an unofficial extension or disable organizational security controls to get past a failed page.
Describe what happens after you submit
Record the error wording and whether it appears before or after your credentials are accepted. Note whether the attempt involves an employer-managed device or a personal device permitted for the task.
If a recovery link fails, report both results: the original sign-in problem and what happened during recovery. Avoid saying only that “nothing works.”
Northwell’s browser notice lists 516-470-7272 for IT assistance. Verify the contact on the official page before using it.
Move to task support once access works
A successful sign-in does not prove that every onboarding activity has been assigned. If you can enter the account but cannot find a required task, identify the task and the instruction that told you to complete it.
The preboarding guide explains how to track missing or pending requirements. For an assigned course, use the training guide.
Keep the access issue and task issue separate in your notes. That makes it clear when one problem has been resolved and another still needs attention.
