My Experience Northwell Training: Find the Assignment and Verify Completion

My Experience Northwell training questions can refer to different activities. A preboarding module, an annual requirement and a course for professional development should not be assumed to share one access path.

Northwell’s public instructions for transitioning practices identify Me → Learning → Required Learning for that group’s preboarding compliance modules. Separately, the July 2026 handbook identifies Cornerstone on Demand as a learning management system for course registration. Preboarding instructions, team member handbook.

Start with the actual assignment and the system named in its instructions.

Identify what you were asked to complete

Record the activity title, the person or team assigning it, the stated deadline and the link or system provided.

A broad topic such as “safety training” may describe several different activities. Use the specific title or identifier when requesting assistance.

Also distinguish an invitation from a requirement. If the message does not make clear whether participation is mandatory, ask the sender through a verified channel. Do not infer the answer from the fact that a course appears in a catalog.

Use the assignment’s route

Follow the employer-provided link or instructions for that activity. An older screenshot from another employee group may show a menu that is not relevant to you.

If a link opens but the assignment is absent, state that access succeeded. The issue may concern the assignment rather than the password.

If you cannot sign in at all, use the account setup guide. Keep the assignment deadline in the same support request so that the operational consequence is clear.

Do not use another employee’s account to complete or inspect your work.

Check what counts as completion

Read the activity’s instructions before starting. Depending on the assignment, the process may involve more than opening the content. The required result should come from the actual activity or employer instruction, not a general assumption.

After finishing, inspect the status shown. If a confirmation or certificate is provided, retain it in accordance with employer rules.

Do not claim completion solely because a video ended or a browser tab was closed. Conversely, if a completed activity still appears outstanding, do not automatically repeat everything before checking what failed to record.

Prepare a precise completion query

A useful request identifies both the activity and your attempt:

I completed the activity titled [title] on [date], but its status remains [status]. I used the link in [assignment]. Please confirm whether completion was recorded or whether a specific step remains.

Include the relevant error or status wording. A screenshot should omit unrelated employee details and confidential training content.

If the course requires assessment, complete it yourself. This guide helps with administration and record checking; it does not supply answers to bypass an employee assessment.

Keep training status separate from clearance

A completed course may satisfy one requirement while other preboarding work remains. Likewise, an employer’s start confirmation does not necessarily mean that every later learning assignment is finished.

The preboarding guide explains how to track those separate results.

Keep a short record of the activity, completion date and any unresolved status. When a new assignment arrives, verify whether it is a new requirement rather than assuming an older completion covers it.

Ask about scheduling and time recording

If you are unsure when required training should be completed or how the time should be recorded, ask your manager or designated contact before making your own arrangement.

The time-record guide explains how to describe work-related time accurately and request clarification. It does not determine the compensation treatment of a particular course.
